Justine Hennin Inspired season


JUSTINE HENIN's inspired season reached a suitable climax when she successfully defended her title at tour ending event,the WTA Championships,her victory over MARIA SHARAPOVA completing a quartet of other notable achievements.
Tired,bothered by a bad foot and suffering from the lab ours of an intense season came to an end.
Against a relatively fresh opponent,Hennin's 5-7,7-5,6-4 win over the comeback Russian took fully three hours and 25 mins,the longest final since the event switched to the best of three sets in 1999.
It also made Hennin the first woman ever to have earned more than five million dollars prize money in one season:the first in ten years,since Martina Hingis,to win ten titles in a season and the first in 18 years,since Steffi Graf,to remain unbeaten post-Wimbledon.

ANDY RODDICK TENNIS WORLD!


Andrew Stephen "Andy" Roddick (born August 30, 1982) is an American professional tennis player and a former World No. 1. He is the top-ranked American player and fifth-ranked player in the world as of October 1, 2007.

Roddick is known for his powerful serves and forehands. He also holds the fastest serve recorded in professional tennis, clocked at 155 mph (250 km/h). He has broken his own record three times.













Andy Roddick was born in Omaha, Nebraska on August 30, 1982 to Jerry and Blanche Roddick. Roddick's father was a businessman, and his mother, Blanche, was a schoolteacher. She now directs the Andy Roddick Foundation. Roddick has two older brothers, Lawrence and John, who were both promising tennis players at a young age

After his fourth round exit from the 2006 Australian Open and first round exits from the 2005 U.S. Open and 2006 French Open.

ANA IVANOVIC outstanding tennis-player


Ana Ivanović (Serbian Cyrillic born November 6, 1987 in Belgrade) is a Serbian professional tennis player. She is currently ranked fourth in the world on the WTA tour, and is the second ranked Serbian player, behind Jelena Janković. In June 2007, she reached her first Grand Slam final at the French Open, losing to Justine Henin; this was followed by a semi-final appearance at Wimbledon.

Ivanović started her promising career at the age of 5, after memorizing the number of a local tennis clinic from an ad on TV.

Ana has a younger brother Miloš, with whom she loves to play basketball.[1] Other hobbies include shopping, watching movies and playing Su Do Ku.

Ivanović was inspired by the performances of Monica Seles

She first caught the eye of the tennis world when she reached the final of the Junior Wimbledon tournament in 2004, losing to Kateryna Bondarenko.

Ivanović has become a UNICEF National Ambassador for Serbia, along side Aleksandar Đorđević and Emir Kusturica, and will take a special interest in the fields of education and child protection.

SANIA MIRZA-Indian Tennis sensation



Sania Mirza (born November 15, 1986) is an Indian tennis player. She was born in Mumbai, brought up in Hyderabad. Coached by her father, Imran Mirza, she began playing tennis at the age of six, turning professional in 2003.


She is the highest ranked female tennis player ever from India, with a career high ranking of 27 in singles and 20 in doubles. She is now ranked 27th in the singles category and 20th in the doubles category, as of 27th Aug, 2007.

Sania Mirza holds the distinction of being the first Indian woman to be seeded in a Grand Slam tennis tournament when she was seeded 26th in the 2007 U.S. Open.

She has stated that two of her best friends are fellow WTA tour players, Anna Chakvetadze and Bethanie Mattek.

As of 29 October 2007, she is the sixth-ranked female player in the world. At the end of 2006, she was the world's highest-paid female athlete.[1]

Sharapova has won two Grand Slam singles titles. She is a former U.S. Open champion, having defeated Justine Henin in the final of the 2006 U.S. Open. Two years earlier, she defeated Serena Williams in the final at Wimbledon.

Sharapova is good friends with fellow Russian tennis player Maria Kirilenko, and has called actress Camilla Belle her best friend.
